As part of Atlanta’s “Vision Zero” Plan adopted by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms in 2021, speed limits on streets across the city were reduced to 25 mph, but not so on McLendon which, for relatively obscure reasons could not be reduced as part of the plan. After many discussion with City officials, CPNO’s Infrastructure Committee ultimately got the speed reduction and new signs went up in early 2022.
