A quorum being present the meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Matt Kirk, President.
The motion to adopt the amended agenda passed. The motion to approve the corrected minutes passed.
Guests: Don Bender and Christina Hodgen clarified that the $5,000 is a yearly membership dues to the Little Five Points Alliance. Christina Hodgen emphasized the importance of Candler Park neighborhood being a member of the Alliance.
Susan Rose, Editor of the Messenger, shared the reaction to a cartoon which appeared in the recent issue of the Messenger.
Reports:
● Zoning- Emily Taff: Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is campaigning to reduce the speed limit on all city streets to 25 mph. The application for a day care on Iverson has been deferred to next month. The Committee is working on the R5 requirements.
● Treasurer- Karin Mack presented the monthly expenses; received $875 in donations; IRS penalty for late filing was $960 which may be forgiven.
● President- Matt Kirk
1) Sidewalk project may be abandoned because we cannot get a contractor to commit to performing the work unless overseen by City of Atlanta.
2) Unable to find someone to Chair the Fall Fest Committee. If no one comes forward may have to cancel the event.
3) Motion to appoint Christina Moore as CPNO Representative to Freedom Park Conservancy and to appoint Miguel Granier and Christina Hodgen to represent CPNO at Little Five Points Alliance passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
