Candler Park Neighborhood Organization
Board of Directors
May 11, 2020
(Virtual)
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Matt Kirk, President. The agenda was reviewed as displayed on the screen. The motion to approve the April minutes passed.
Zoning: Emily Taff, Zoning Officer
The proposed R5c draft schedule was displayed and discussed. Vote to be taken at the June neighborhood meeting. The City Council has proposed to delete the Neighborhood Design Standards in residential zoning citywide.
Fallfest: Matt Hanson, Fundraising Officer
The final decision to cancel the festival has not been made. Obtaining a permit, profitability of producing the festival, size of the festival, eliminating the Tour of Homes were among the topics discussed. Attendance is questionable and will depend on the lifting of the pandemic rules. A change in CPNO bylaws will have to be made to eliminate the mandate of holding the Fall Festival, the 5k, and the Tour of Homes.
Sidewalk Project: The contractor has backed out; therefore, the process would have to start all over. CPNO may not be able to subsidize the project.
Budget: Karin Mack, Treasurer, reviewed financial status. The motion to continue to pay the rent for Neighborhood Church conference room and the First Existentialist Church meeting space passed.
NPU N: Amy Stout, External Affairs Officer, reported that their meetings will be ‘virtual’ and probably concentrate on their Bylaw changes.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
