The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm by Matt Kirk. President Pro Temp. There was no formal agenda. The motion to approve the corrected June Minutes passed.
Little 5 Points Alliance: Lauren Welsh, Executive Director of CID, led a discussion/presentation concerning the development of Little Five Points. The Alliance has been approached by Mike Dobbins, Professor at Georgia Tech, regarding his students providing plans for the Moreland Corridor. The Alliance is requesting a donation of $2,000 to the Georgia Tech Foundation.
The motion to support the expenditure of $2,000 to the Georgia Tech Foundation passed.
Zoning: No applications
External Affairs: Matt Kirk reported that two festivals were approved for Candler Park- Curlyfest and Greeks in the Park. The City no longer requires applicants to appear before the Neighborhood as a requirement for Liquor License or Festivals permits.
Membership: Fox Brother will provide dinner. One “Porch Party” planned for August.
