Members’ Meeting

The monthly Members’ meeting was called to order at 7:02pm by Christina Hodgen, President.
The agenda was adopted by unanimous consent. The motion, to approve the April Minutes, passed by unanimous consent.
Guest Speaker(s)
Sgt. Lucien, Zone 6, reported a city wide decrease in vehicle theft.
Committee Updates
Historic District Committee (Emily Taff)
The second draft of the proposal is on the Historic Designation website. The vote will be in August or September and will require a 2/3 majority of the membership present.
Infrastructure Committee (Naoya Wada)
Proposed changes to the intersection at McLendon and Candler Park Drive were displayed as part of the Safer McLendon project. There was no new information on the MARTA/Iverson Park fence.
Bylaws Amendment
Motion to amend the bylaws as follows:
Section 9. Voting.
(a) Each Member shall be entitled to one vote;
(b) The voting period for all matters subject to Section 5 notice requirements (“Substantive Motions”) shall remain open for one calendar day beyond any Annual, Regular, or Special Meeting where the matter was introduced (“Voting Period”). However, with adequate advance notice and for good cause shown, the Board may shorten the Voting Period further in exceptional circumstances, if it determines that the matter is time-sensitive.
(c) All votes on Substantive Motions shall be certified as determined by the Board and shall include a verification by the Membership Officer or other Board designee that the Members of record for said vote is accurate and complete.”
Section 10. Proxy Voting
There shall be no proxy voting.

The motion to amend the bylaws to extend voting beyond a meeting passed. Call the question passed.
Treasurer Report
Monthly reports are available on the website.
There was $10,000 income from FallFest; there was $1,000 paid out for the CPLC Patrol.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.
