Renovations on the Candler Park playground are scheduled to be complete by Fall Fest. Renovations will include new climbing towers and hill slides and fun for kids of all ages.
The Candler Park Conservancy invites the neighborhood to a reopening celebration, to be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, 10/25. There will be popsicles, fun activities, and of course a ribbon cutting.
This $1.25 million project, which was spearheaded by the Conservancy, was completed thanks to support from the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization, Park Pride, City of Atlanta Parks, City Council member Amir Farokhi, the Waterfall Foundation and generous donations from neighbors.
The playground will be open before the celebration event, but the CPC wanted to host something special to commemorate this huge accomplishment for our neighborhood and to share information about future improvements to the park.
