The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm by Christina Hodgen, President. The agenda was adopted by unanimous consent. The edited August Minutes were approved.
Old Business:
1) Christina Hodgen met with Amir Farouki regarding prevention of injury by errant golf balls while using the swimming pool. Mr.Farouki will explore the possibility of installing netting.
2) Wilyde Center donation-
The motion “the Wylde Center is asking for $5k commitment in immediate term, additional $10k commitment based on performance of Fall Fest in 2023, and then another $10k commitment in 2024 based on fall fest performance to install a system of rain gardens that will manage storm water at Mulberry Fields to prevent flooding and pressure on the municipal storm water system” passed.
3) Dillon Thompson will be assisting Sahri Golla with ‘The Messenger’.
4) Christina Hodgen met with Amir Fauroki about legislating of “Stop Signs” for the Safer McLendon Project.
5) Historic Designation Committee, like the FallFest Committee, needs to present their budget to the Board.
6) Fundraising- Hallie Meushew
FallFest(2023) has raised $100,000 in sponsorships.
7) Safety- Larry Compton
The Firehouse is still undergoing renovations.
8) External Affairs- D.J. Roedger
The NPU N Bylaws have to be reaffirmed. Anyone who lives in Candler Park can vote on this item- do not have to be a member of CPNO.
9) Bylaws Revision Committee- Hallie Meushew
Bylaw Revision Committee has met once and is drafting a survey for Members’ input into what changes they would like to have made.
