Public Schools
Candler Park is part of the Midtown Cluster of the Atlanta Public School system. Residents of Candler Park are zoned for the following schools:
Mary Lin Elementary — grades K–5, 586 Candler Park Drive, Atlanta GA 30307
David T. Howard Middle School — grades 6–8, 551 John Wesley Dobbs Ave, Atlanta GA 30312
Midtown High School — grades 9–12, 929 Charles Allen Drive, Atlanta GA 30309
These schools—with four additional elementary schools (Hope-Hill, Morningside, Virginia-Highlands Elementary, and Springdale Park) and two K-8 charter schools (Centennial Academy and Kindezi Old Fourth Ward)—make up the Midtown cluster. This cluster is supported by the Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools (CINS), a nonprofit organization, through community engagement, advocacy, and investment.
