Candler Park and Lake Claire neighbors – Now is the time to dress up your house or business in your spookiest, scariest or silly-hilarious best! We want the streets to be overflowing with joy for kids aged 1–99.
What started as a small group of neighbors trying to spark joy during Covid times, has grown to a joint neighborhood-wide reason to celebrate the Halloween season together. And we need you!
Contest is open to all Candler Park and Lake Claire addresses.
Get the whole house to participate – children, parents, grandparents, pets. Get your neighbors to participate and make a full street display (looking at you east McLendon). Creativity knows no bounds but keep it G-rated for the kiddos please.
Displays can be as small as a single skeleton or as large as the Stay-Puff man.
Pro-tip: Well illuminated night displays have historically won the most votes; most neighbors drive around to look at displays after dark.
Register now through October 22nd to be listed on the official “tour of spooky homes” for judging.
(Bonus- If you register on or before October 10th, you will receive a coupon for a free carving pumpkin for pick-up at any Trees for Tuition pumpkin patch!)
Then, come back here on Oct 24th for a map to all the participants for your viewing. Maybe make a night of it with friends to ooh and ahh at your favorites.
Official judging and neighbor sponsored voting will be open Oct 24th through Nov 1st.
Winners will be announced Nov 2nd.
What’s not scary? Your $25 registration fee goes directly to support CPNO improvement projects and events for the whole neighborhood to enjoy. 100% stays in the neighborhood. Help us raise $ while having fun doing it!
What can you win? New this year will be a variety of gift cards or products from local business sponsors. But you didn’t need that. We had you at “it’s for the kids” right?
